We left Knysna at 10:00 after a wonderful breakfast at ile de pain. The bread was amazing and is made with 300 year old starter dough from Austria. We picked up a couple of sandwiches to go, a loaf of bread and a package of their biscotti. I mention this as my daughter-in-law Stacie and our granddaughter Nevada would really appreciate and enjoy all the goodies this place offers.
The drive took 6 hours and we went through all kinds of weather from cool overcast skies, hot sunshine and torrential rains but we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the amazingly diversified countryside that South Africa has. Its a lot more than jungle and plains.
Arrived at our apartment in Camps Bay, a seaside town just outside of Cape Town, around 18:00 and met our contact who showed us the apartment and how everything worked. You see the pictures on the Internet site and hope you will not be disappointed when you arrive. We were definitely not disappointed. What a lovely and spacious one bedroom apartment we have for our stay in Cape Town. The place is very open and spacious, but the best part is the huge balcony with a table set for 10 and a day bed for lounging away the hours. We unpacked, had a shower and walked down to a grocery store and picked up some supplies for dinner, including some nice South African wines. Can't wait to explore this wondrous place.
